This article talks about the UN putting a tax on oil and what they want to do with our tax money. Are we going to buy into the UN taxing us?
It is enough that we get taxed by our own countries isn’t it?

That comes across as a double tax – first you are taxed by the government, only to have them, first of all, pay for their own inefficiencies, as well as paying the UN out of the countries’ existing budget and then paying AGAIN for the UN’s inefficiencies. Nice game that those bureaucrats are playing – at least they can keep on partying, with DOUBLE the assistance of the taxpayer..

If you got a dime in your pocket they will tax it .

This is such bullshit.
If countries wanted to be more proactive with solar panels, wind turbines, turbines from rushing water, etc, a tax on fuel would have been implemented already.
Plus the oil industry won’t take any of that tree hugging green energy crap lying down.
This is just another way for the Useless Ninny’s to generate money into their own back pockets.

I can never understand why so many Americans, and generally only Americans, are so anti-UN?!

Irish, because US is the top contributor to the UN, moneywise. Given that UN is pretty much useless, we don’t like it.
To address the main point – good luck to enforcing that tax, UN. I want to see you try.
