Usually I use facebook without problem. They were blocked after the Xinjiang riot cause the terrorists were using them to communicate and spread anti-China propogandas. Assuming, however, that you're not interested in a "CHINA RLY SUCKS" video, you should be fine. One other note: Average Internet access in China is dismally slow. Facebook and Youtube are not blocked. However, certain sites or videos with hot “keywords” on those pages may be removed.
