Yeah I think so as my friend went there for some reason and can’t use facebook or twitter. Weird.

Facebook and Youtube are not blocked. However, certain sites or videos with hot “keywords” on those pages may be removed.
Because your laptop would hook up onto a Chinese web server, then you could potentially be affected.
Assuming, however, that you’re not interested in a “CHINA RLY SUCKS” video, you should be fine.
One other note: Average Internet access in China is dismally slow.

They’re not always blocked. Usually I use facebook without problem.
They were blocked after the Xinjiang riot cause the terrorists were using them to communicate and spread anti-China propogandas.
Even google had been blocked a couple of days.
