My first year in the MLM & Network Marketing Industry was basically spent running in circles trying to figure out what systems worked and what it was about these systems that made them work. What I discovered after spending over $20K on my marketing education was: Nearly every strategy I was being educated in would be effective with the odd exemption of course and all I had to do was remember to remind myself of the 2 primary elements that you get paid to do in any business where your success is based around sales, which would be just about any business… “Right”

Retail: (Synonyms: advertise, barter, display, exchange, merchandise, offer for sale, retail, vend, wholesale)

Recruit: (augment, better, build up, call to arms, call up, deliver, draft, engage, enlist, enroll, fill up, find human resources, gain, impress, improve, induct, levy, mobilize, muster, obtain, procure, proselytize, raise, reanimate, recoup, recover, recuperate, refresh, regain, reinforce, renew, repair, replenish, repossess, restore, retrieve, revive, round up, select, sign on, sign up, store up, strengthen, supply, take in, take on, win over)

Of course it goes deeper than just this, but if you place these 2 goals at the top of your list before you get to work every day then your on your way. Sounds easy right… Now just take a few minutes and think, what is it you will have to do to achieve this

There has been a lot and still is a lot of weight being focused on the 3 foot rule where people are saying that making a list of friends and family, placing flyers on windscreens in parking lots, attempting to pitch anyone that comes within 3ft or less of you; spending hrs on the phone cold calling people and holding meetings at home and in hotels all over the country is simply not the way to do business these days.

That’s NOT to say that these methods don’t still work (because there are still a lot of people using this method and having success) the question is, how much spare time would you really have? This method takes real commitment and those that are succeeding using it are truly working long and hard for their success. do. Personally I hated every second of it so I went looking for better ways.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing
Don’t mis-interperate me here guy’s PPC is an extremely mighty tool to use but… As you learn, you’ll hear about the guy’s that love using Pay Per Click (PPC) to push traffic (Recruit & Retail) Guys; trust me on this one Don’t try using adwords or PPC without first getting educated in all the pitfalls and traps that will drain your PPC budget quicker than your lawn grows in the tropical Queensland summer, if you dont fully understand adwords. My first few months in PPC equaled thousands of dollars of crazy wasted money with my leads costing way more than I was making, because I didnt grasp adwords and the penalities that were costing me heaps driving my bid prices up. I finally came to my senses and invested in training from the experts. I kept thinking that tomorrow would be different but tomorrow would come and go and the results would linger the same.

My Advice: You Absolutely Positively Have To Understand Adwords Before You Dive In And Throw A Single Penny At It.

As you continue to dig around the internet searching for ways to (Retail & Recruit) It’s likely that you will come across some people that recommend buying lists. When you come across these people there are certain steps that you will need to take (BIG FAST ONES) Been there done that… TURN & RUN OK. I’ll be honest with you here, I had been warned about these lists but I still had a go at them against my better judgment. The warnings I had received were absolutely true.

You will no doubt find sites that offer free advertising where you build credits by viewing other people’s offers and Business Opportunities. Can you guess… Yep! Been there done that too.
when I did manage to get some leads this way the quality wasn’t very high and I quickly came to realize that you would spend a lot of valuable time on these sites either going through and having the page open for the required amount of time then moving as quickly as possible to the next to build your credits up so that you could continue to advertise your opportunity. Then if something did catch your eye it wouldn’t be long before something else turned up that distracted your attention. Do you see how this goes… Way too much stuff going through your head and the clock continues ticking away as your (Recruit & Retail) time vanishes for another day.

Do you think all the other people using this method are any different? Of course you could pay to advertise on these sites and then you save time because you don’t have to go and open other ads to build your credits, but … do you honestly think the majority of people doing this are really looking for a business opportunity or just trying to advertise their own? There are so many better ways.

I was looking for the magic bullett and trying all sorts of tactics to get people to see what I had to offer and I was missing one of the most crucial pieces of the puzzle while I ran in circles. It’s a really big piece of the puzzle I call the Fundamental Centerpiece and it belongs right near the heart of everything. Visualize a puzzle where YOU have to make each piece as you go, you can’t start at a corner and build from here because the only portion YOU have is YOU, so what is the next piece.

I’m not trying to take credit for coming up with this on my own, remember I did spend over $20K on training but amidst all that education I had been overlooking the one critical dynamic that would make all the difference in my Network Marketing & MLM success. (It was Fundamentals) You could say; I was revving the engine but going nowhere because I hadn’t selected a gear yet.

In order to get sales you need traffic; in order to get traffic you need exposure; to get exposure you need to spend money on advertising right? … (Wrong!)
So how do you get exposure without spending.

The answer is simple, (Search Engines) Not PPC, at least not yet ok. Here is where the Fundamentals come in. How are you going to go and search for information to learn marketing strategies for Network Marketing & MLM, your going to head over to google or yahoo search engines… right.

Now you type you’re your keyword in the search engine and hit enter; what do you find more often than not? Over and over againyou will find an article that someone has written that is specific to that particular keyword… right!
Article Marketing is an Extremely Powerful Tool that has the potential to drive massive amounts of traffic to you and your opportunity. What does google and yahoo search engines love?
Just like us humans google loves to read new content, so how do you let google know that you have just made some interesting new content for the spiders to come and read.
